WHAT IS XAILIN® NIGHT MOISTURISING EYE OINTMENT?
Xailin® Night Moisturising Eye Ointment is a white translucent multi-use ointment, free of preservatives and foreign substances, used to relieve the feeling of dry eyes at night. The tube contains 5 g of sterile ointment for the eyes.
CONTENT
Xailin® Night Moisturising Eye Ointment contains 57.3% white petrolatum, 42.5% paraffin oil, and 0.2% lanolin alk oller. These form a transparent, moisturising and moisture retaining layer on the surface of the eye.
WHEN TO USE.
Xailin® Night Moisturising Eye Ointment helps to relieve the feeling of dry eyes at night. It is ideal for use at night before bedtime as it acts as a barrier against moisture loss. Xa ilin® Night Moisturising Eye Ointment relieves and soothes dry eye sensations such as pain, irritation or foreign body sensation. Symptoms of dry eye can be caused by a variety of causes, such as poor quality or insufficient quantity of normal tears on the surface of the eye to moisturise the eye.
There is no age limit for the use of Xailin® Night Moisturising Eye Ointment.
Xailin® Night Moisturising Eye Ointment can be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
HOW TO USE.
Apply an ointment strip of approximately 1 cm on the eyes where needed, following the instructions below.
Before opening a new tube of Xailin® Night Moisturising Eye Ointment, check that the safety strip on the tube cap is intact.
- Wash and dry your hands carefully before use.
- Tear off the safety strip to open the seal.
- Open the outer cap.
- If you wear contact lenses, remove them.
- Tilt your head back and look up.
- Pull the lower eyelid slightly downwards to create a small space between the eye and the lower eyelid.
- Hold the tube between the thumb and middle finger of your other hand and place it vertically over the eye. Try not to touch the tip of the tube to your eye.
- Apply sufficient pressure to the tube to squeeze out a strip of ointment of about 1 cm or follow the instructions of your doctor or pharmacist.
- Blink your eyes several times.
- If you cannot fix your eye, apply another strip of ointment.
- Carefully wipe off any excess Xailin® Night around the eyelid with a tissue.
- Repeat the procedure for the other eye if necessary.
- Put the cap back on the tube and try not to let the tip touch your eyes and fingers.
- Wait at least 30 minutes before using another eye medicine.
- If you are in doubt about the use of Xailin® Night Moisturising Eye Ointment or if your eye problems do not improve, consult your doctor or pharmacist.
PRECAUTIONS AND WARNINGS
- Do not use if the safety strip on the tube cap is broken.
- Do not use if you are allergic to lanolin alcohols or other ingredients.
- Do not use with contact lenses.
- Do not share Xailin® Night Moisturising Eye Ointment with anyone.
- Xailin® Night Moisturising Eye Ointment may cause a temporary and mild burning sensation and/or short-term visual impairment after application. Wait for your vision to return to normal before driving or operating machinery.
- Do not use after the expiry date indicated on the packaging or tube.
- Store at a temperature of 1° to 25°.
- Discard the contents 60 days after opening.
- Keep out of the reach and sight of children.
- For external use in the eye only. Do not swallow.
- Dispose of the used dropper in accordance with local waste collection regulations.
